Deck Fills Engineered for OEM Boat Builders
Big Dog Marine manufactures marine deck fills for OEM boat builders and marine fuel-system applications. The 999DF Series combines modern, low-profile styling with multiple body styles, cover finishes, and fuel-system architectures to give boat builders flexibility across vessel designs.
Big Dog deck fills are designed for vessels using a 1.5-inch fill hose and are available in configurations for both carbon canister and pressure relief fuel systems. Gasoline models are available with straight or angled bodies and Black, Chrome, or Stainless Steel covers.
Carbon Canister vs. Pressure Relief Deck Fills
Big Dog Marine offers gasoline deck fills for both Carbon Canister (CC) and Pressure Relief (PV) marine fuel-system architectures. The appropriate deck fill depends on how the vessel's evaporative fuel system is designed.
A Carbon Canister deck fill is used with a system in which the carbon canister provides part of the evaporative-emissions control architecture.
A Pressure Relief deck fill is designed for a system using pressure-relief functionality at the deck fill as part of the fuel-system architecture.
Why boat builders switch
-
Big Dog deck fills are designed to work across marine fuel-system applications while supporting backward compatibility. The deck fills accommodate 13/16-inch and 15/16-inch fuel nozzles, making the 999DF Series a flexible option for new vessel designs as well as existing fuel-system architectures.
-
Big Dog's deck fill design uses a one-hole installation approach, intended to simplify installation and reduce associated labor. The current product literature identifies this installation design as patent pending.
-
Small design details can make production installation more repeatable. Big Dog deck fills include a marked hose-stop location and hose-clamp guidance to help installers properly position the fill hose and clamp during assembly.
How Do I Choose the Right Deck Fill?
Choosing a marine deck fill starts with the liquid application and, for gasoline applications, the vessel's fuel-system architecture. From there, the boat builder can select the body style and cover finish that best fit the vessel.
For Big Dog Marine deck fills, selection comes down to four primary choices:
1. FILL TYPE
Gasoline · Water · Waste
2. SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
Carbon Canister (CC) · Pressure Relief (PV)
System Architecture applies to applicable gasoline configurations.
3. BODY STYLE
Straight · Angled
4. COVER FINISH
Black · Chrome · Stainless Steel
